As mentioned in Forbes and several other publications, the success of the mental health initiatives behind the You Are Not Alone campaign has impacted policy in both the private and public sector. Some examples of this include long standing collaboration with offices in the NYC Department of Education and Fortune 500 media companies.
School districts in over twelve countries have implemented programming yielding positive impacts on the social-emotional wellness of students as observed in these schools. The materials in the program are developed from this research by licensed mental health clinicians.
The landmark advocacy has led to recognition from members of Congress, the California Legislative Assembly, the City of Los Angeles, policy impact in educational systems and hundreds of schools.
"As coordinators of the European Anti-Bullying Network we shared with our European Partners our experience of working directly with Meredith towards empowering students at the school communities. In this context, our intention is to have her serve as one of the Ambassadors of the Network from the United States in order to raise awareness on bullying among school communities in Europe and contribute to our work against the phenomenon on a European scale. We are looking forward to continuing and enriching this cooperation in the framework of our National and European anti-bullying work and future initiatives.
The You Are Not Alone campaign gained participation from celebrities across the world making international headlines. Colleges and Universities began to teach students about the impact of this movement through a course and were later recognized by The Shorty Impact Awards for their dedication to mental health education.
